Howdy folks,
Just got my Mirage AT-1 a day ago. Top summarize, it looks pretty
good in the box.

- The parts are very well molded, with well rendered rivet/bolt detail,
a somewhat uncommon feat in the world of smallscale models.
- Ejector pin marks are evident on some surfaces, but most seem to be in
the harder to see areas of parts, such as the inside areas of the
running gear and the underside of fenders. They aren't deep are
cavernous and look to be easy to deal with, so that's okay with me.
- Some sink holes are present, such as the muffler assembly
- The tracks are one piece (gluable?) vinyl, as is the towing cable. The
tow cable's a bit disappointing to me, but scratchbuilt tow cables
aren't that difficult even in this scale, and plenty of after market
options exist to correct this.
- The 7.6 cm gun is a two piece affair, and if assembled carefully, you
get a pre-drilled hole in the muzzle, another uncommon feature in
smallscale kits.
- The machine gun is well detailed, with the magazine molded separately.
In fact, the spare magazines for the machine are molded separately to
fit into their appropriate holders. The pioneer tools look good, with
little flash, without looking incredibly out of scale.
- The instructions are well laid out and illustrated and provide Humbrol
reference numbers for painting.
- No decals are included.

Unfortunately, I have almost nil reference material for this particular
variant so I can't comment on the level of accuracy or detail for the
running gear or the main gun breach area. Considering that this kit only
runs ~$10 U.S. you get plenty of kit for what you pay. It ranks easily
with the Revell 1/72 offerings in terms of molding and appearance.

HTH, Steve
