Hi all!

The Revell version it is quite correct to represent both Kosovo "Leclerc Brigade" and homeland based T5 tanks, including rear turret basket and storage bin. Decals for both options are included, but Revell missed the colour of the tank names, printed in grey when should have been just white -they had the same colour match problem with the Bradley KFOR letterings...-

Both snorkel and rear fuel tanks are included. The ones deployed to Kosovo had only the snorkel and no fuel tanks. Current tanks in France does not use regulary none of these (but on open home displays!).

About the Leclerc tested in the Gulf countries, were latter versions, where the main external difference was the addition of an air conditioning device placed on the turret roof, behind the gunners hatch.

I have no deep knowledge about this tank... but I´m currently building the Revell kit. As almost every lastest Revell release, a nice kit and a reasonably good model OOTB, but it is inferior to, in example, the wonderful M1A1. Even when finely molded, Revell have missed many small -and not so small- details and, in example, have used a quite strange aproach to reproduce the anti skid surfaces ,IMHO, completely unuseful!

Here you got a ton of Leclerc pics, including pics of the vehicles tested in the Gulf.

And, of course, there is also another galley at this website, with the pics of C. Jacquemont...
