For me it's a combination of working on models, and doing my taxes...ugh! I
have also always been more of a lurker than a contributor, but after a break
of a few months prior to year's end, I have tried to immerse myself more in
my modeling and to become more involved in the the modeling community. Since
the beginnig of the year I have managed to build an Esci M1a1 Sherman, an
Al.By M-10 TD conv. for Esci Sherman,(had to get it done before Extratech's
came out), a Hasegawa 251 Stummel, Attack's Grille - that was a bit of work,
an Esci T-34 (1942), and an NRC 4.7cm PAK 183(f). I also repaired an Esci
Marder III and am in the process of setting it in a diorama. On the
workbench now is a MAC Horch 180 Type 1a with the MAC 20mm Flak 30 on a
built up rear deck,- I'm trying to replicate that well known DAK photo, and
an old TOGA BM-13 Katyusha that has turned into an absolute nightmare.
It seems like a lot, but my fiance told me I had too many unbuilts (@300)
and I couldn't buy anymore until I built at least ten of the ones I have,
I'm almost there. I also did one smart thing, I got her kniting lessons for
Christmas (she asked for them), so now while I model, she knits, works out
ok if I do say so myself.
Unfortunately, I don't have a digital camera, so it will be some time before
I can post any of these.
