in 20mm is as I a) don't wargame WWII in 20mm (really in 15mm and 28mm) and
b) I build ONLY 1/72 and IIRC most 20mm is 1/76 to 1/87. However, there's
one comment I want to address.

plenty of resin castings that were bad...even plastic injection molding that
was bad! The problem isn't the medium, IMHO, but the quality control at the
manufacturer or the technique used. Take a look at Games Workshop stuff;
high quality castings, and some of them can be quite large (as large or
larger than a tank chassis in 1/72!). So the capabilities of the medium are
there, just that the perception that white metal=wargames and resin=serious
model is, I think, too persistent in the hobby.

Hey Damon!
Finally I am back home so I can reply to your posting. I agree with most of
your points but I have to admit that I made lots of bad experience with
white metal kits...For instance I wasnt really happy with the FSF as it was
too simplified . Or the Alemany Panzer IV; I had to replace a major part of
the kit because I didnt want to clean up all the tiny parts (this would have
taken ages :-))
But in the whole I think it depends very much on the skill of the kitmaker.
Right now I have an NBC fox from CSMC for the Revell kit and all the parts
are well cast (probe arms, canisters boxes etc...) I am not going to
complain again I swear :-)
It seems that Alemany improved castings on big parts too.
Right now I am too tired to type on.
Best regards
