I have found that using oven cleaner (EZ-Off brand) works very well for
removing acrylic paint, but without damaging the plastic or the glue. Just
spray on heavily, let soak for a while, and then scrub with an old
toothbrush. Might take a couple of applications. Not sure how to undo the
glue.
