The tentative explanation may be found in various facts: all the WW2 manufactured Su-100 were manufactured in one single production unit in Sverdlovsk, a limited number was built till May 1945, maybe only 1200, by the time the production started the all metal wheels poorly represented in the AER kit were already phased out and T34-85 had already returned to solid wheels with rubber bands. Unless proven wrong I think that in the large majority of T34-85 and Su-100 the standard type of wheel in WW2 had to be the solid type that you have correctly used.
