It's not too difficult to create a reasonable model from the Revell Sherman.

The main problem is that it suffers from the mixed scale syndrome common to many Revell kits - not quite 1/72 and not quite 1/76. I suggest that you replace the road wheels with a set from a 1/76 M3 or M4 or even the ESCI/Italeri M4A1.

The hull is not rounded enough for me and a bit of sanding will fix that. Alternatively, you can use a bit of plastic card and filler to turn it into a hybrid with the cast/welded hull. Fit a 75mm or Firefly turret in that case.

If you stay with the 76mm turret, I suggest that you replace the gun. You can use an ARMO replacement barrel or just make one out of sprue.

There's no such thing as a bad kit - some are just more challenging than others!
