The construction forum is for the discussion of small scale AFV modelling. Usually this refers to 1-76th and 1-72nd scale AFVs. |

| Subject: | ESCI-Italeri T-62 vs T-55 size | |

Of late I was comparing the ESCI/Italeri T-62 kit with the ACE T-55 and PST T-54 kits I am almost done with.
I understand that the T-62 shares many components with the T-55 such as wheels & engine, and is in many ways a lengthened T-55 hull. I was surprised to note that the ESCI T-62 appears much longer than the ACE & PST T-55 than I expected, has larger wheels. It actually appears a larger scale! Though all three are sold as 1/72.
I am not ususally very fussy over scale but am curios on this one. The ACE and PST T-55's compare well with each other. Are the ACE and PST models too small for 1/72... or is the ESCI T-62 larger than 1/72, maybe 1/70?
I want to hear your all oppinions. I will try and find out later this week when I gather my references and a good ruler.
