I go with the thought that the Internet and the increased ability to share both informational resource(s) and customer feedback via sites like this one spurs on the improvement effort.

Personally, to use myself as an example, I am not a WW II German AFV fan - but there's so much out there now available at the request of an Internet search engine - I can find all the inspiration I desire. Same for a big or small manufacturer. Whether one uses those resources is a whole 'nother thread... :-)

But - as the Internet grows and modeling sites thrive - I think we'll see new levels of model kit detail like found in DML's Tigers or TMD M3 Stuart Light Tanks.

Heck, I've never modeled a Panther, Tiger, or any panzer to speak of - but I've got the new DML Panthers, AFV Club's Tiger, and DML's Tiger (with this one to come too soon). As the model companies improve their fare I find myself expanding my own horizons too...
