...the heart of what has driven the American economy, as well as many others, since at least the Post WWII Era until today...Look at cars, cell phones, washer machines, computers (like Leo said), toilets (japan lol; those are cool), etc...The list goes on and on....The success of large corporations is the fact that they know people love things that are shiny, new and on the cutting edge or technology....
I too would like to see Dragons financial reports. I honestly wonder how well they are doing on the whole. I mean, they pack theit kits with so much stuff and make them totally awesome....I mean, their profit margins have to be razor thin...I do recall...I hope it's ok if I say this, that when the Dragon Tiger I was released, the whole-sale price was about $18 US (that's when it was $32 US at retail)...Their 1/6th scale figures, at least I believe, are what seem to be helping a lot. I mean, their quality can be real good, but even then, they'll make stuff out of plastic, compared to their biggest competator right now, DID (Dragon is dead lol, that's what the dolly nerds say) that makes stuff out of metal. Not only that, but when DID makes a figure that has teller mines and whatever else he has and can do, Dragon makes the same thing, almost exactly how the DID guy is....there's my two cents....
