Mr. Volstad,
I just recieved my copy of Advance to the Rhine figure set and the illustration is top notch (again). It reminds me of the many photograpghs I have taken while re-enacting. Extremely accurate in detail as well as proportion, depth and a great composition of figures.
I have two questions I'd like to ask you.
1. As a portrait painter I use oils. Your illustrations seem to be either acrylics or watecolors. Which medium do you use?
2. When DML has a figure set in mind do you pose your models ( I assume you draw from either models or photographs of individuals modeling the uniforms) first and DML creates the figures from your illustration or does DML give you the model figures and you pose your models? I guess this is all mute if you don't use models or photograpghs of people modeling the uniforms.
Having the actual box I can see many of the details I couldn't on line. Great stuff!
