Subject:  Re: Resin Kit DislikeList thread.

Most of the resin complete kits I have do not include Modelkasten Tracks, Etch, or turned barrels so that price goes on top of the kit just like with plastic ones.

I have a fair number of complete resin kits. I would agree those that said price is the top reason. 2nd, I find resin a bit less forgiving to work with and the need for epoxy/superglue is bothersome. Also I have had some kits with serious defects like major warping that a blowerdryer or hotwater couldnt cure, non-complete parts or over poured parts. The resin plugs are time consuming on some parts to get rid of but not a major concern for me. One of my biggest pevees is the quality of the resin from kit to kit or manufacturer to manufacturer.

For kits I prefer plastic ones, for figures I prefer resin ones though the DML Gen 2 figures may change that.
