First, I would like express my sympathy for all the people affected by the tragic events caused by "Katrina".
In my summer holiday I visited New Orleans and it is very unreal and scary to see the state of the town present and the effect "Katrina" made to the area.
Second, I am going to Washington, DC and will be staying on 9th. Street. Any modelshop or museum nearby, which is a visit worth?? I will not have a car, so public transport is the keyword here.
