I got the new Panzer IV E from Dragon a week ago. I have been working on a review but now I am having second thoughts about publishing it. The current batch of reviews give the kit glowing marks, which it most certainly deserves. However, I know the Panzer IV very well and have found a few areas that could be improved. Now I fear that if I report on these I am going to hear all the usual "you're a nit-picker", "build it for fun", etc. Or worse: considering that this kit was researched by some well respected modellers, finding an error or not liking the way something in the kit was engineered, may, by some, be taken as a personal attack on these researchers.
As a personal matter I really don't care _that_ much... but it did get me thinking of the bigger picture, which is why I posted this topic...
Does anyone else feel this way about publishing reviews? Is this backlash against reviews hurting the appearence of more reviews. Does it scare people off reviewing?
