Hi Mike,
Nit-picking only works when the manufacturer is able to tweak a mold to produce a better product. If thinner turret walls would cause the turret to warp, do not expect to see it. If they were to include separate turret side walls with a separate insert, you may see that. However, will they be willing to incur the added cost?
By the way, I've never found a kit I can build out of the box. Even the latest, with all the bonuses, I find that the bonus items can be improved upon. Since it is such a large part of my enjoyment, I really do not look forward to the day models can be assembled (no building skills required) out of the box.
