I have "reference books" which have excellent color photos, but the "reference" is scant. Heck, the photos give more information than the text and captions! (And I'm not talking about Concord books either).

Speaking of Concord books, another semi-pet-peeve of mine is the "Note the..." in Concord books. Now I understand that "note" is a short four-letter word to save caption space, but "note this" and "note that" kind of gets tiring after a while with no explanation given, such as "Note the pole for the bumper." Mmmm, yeah...I see it. So? So what? What, the unit couldn't find a bumper or was a pole a better bumper?

Sure, I'd like to "note" the item of interest, but some explanation for the "note" would be nice (not for all "note" captions, but for some) and what would be even better is if some model companies actually do "note" the items and put them in kits :-).
