Hi Paul-
I like David Fletcher's books also. I have his "Mr. Churchill's tank". This leads to my own pet peeve which is subject choice or lack thereof. Some years ago, I emailed Mr. Fletcher asking for the release date of his up-coming book on the Valentine, I was told book was due in 2002. As so little is written about this tank, I was very much looking forward to this book. In the summer of 2002 I emailed Mr. Fletcher again asking for the publication date, only to be told his publishers were not interested in doing a book on the Valentine, they wanted him to do one on the
Tiger I! As Mr. Fletcher himself put it, "like we need another one of those"! Can you believe it?! Mr. Fletcher cannot get his book on the Valentine published! Why? The publishers want another Tiger I book! One other reason being, according to Mr. Fletcher himself, his Churchill book did not sell well. We all go on about the lack of allied subject matter in kit form as apposed to what is available for German subjects. Yet, I still cannot believe a book on the Valentine has to wait for yet another book on the Tiger I!
Oh well, there it is-
