| Collections: This is a new idea that I got when I went to the last couple of IPMS Nationals. They have a category called collections. To enter, you must have 5 or more pieces that have a relationship to one another. For example: Tigers, Shermans, 3rd AD vehicles, etc. What's really interesting about collections is that is shows similar items in a group setting. Since I'm building a large Sherman collection now, it dawned on me that there are probably a lot of modelers with a collection of some type or another. I would suggest a category called collections be added to the Gallery. About the only difference from a regular posting is that you'd probably want to allow more than 7 images. Also, a handy way to add an image would be good so as people expand their collection, they can add the next model. I'd have a 5 model minimum and the primary photo should be an overall picture of the collection. |
