Well, I should get my wife to read this posting. I have about 20-30 kits stashed away and it really buggs her. Most of it was picked up on Ebay for half priced or less as my budget is very tight. Therefore I dont have very much in this hobby compaired to some, but more that I will get to for some time. One frustration is to go looking at them, and as I pull each out I think.. I cant wait to start this one...
As for dsiposing of them, to my knowledge there are no clubs here in the Portland Oregon area, and even if there were I doubt I would have the time to get involved unfortunatly. I doubt anyone in my family would want them. My son (age 14) VERY rairly will do an airplane model, and usually thats so he an his little brother (age 3) can play with it.
As for storage, that is sort of my limiting factor. The only place available is in ny wife's ciramic shop. She has a spare "drying rack" large enclosed shelf that with an electric heater to dry the greenware. Its full of kits and will only hold more as I move some out to either build or sell. Occasionally she gets fed up with my "obsession", but never to the point of action. If it ever came to that all she would have to do is sneak out and turn on the heater :O |
