I think the point that some of us are missing is that modeling and the collecting
of models is what makes us happy! Why sould we care two hoots about what
happens to this stuff when we're dead? You're dead! You dont have to be made
happy anymore. Some folks travel for fun and they have memories and photos.
Does anyone care what happens to the photos? No! The money spent on those
trips can never be recovered but they dont care cause they had their fun! What
about the folks who gamble or party for entertainment? Can they ever get back
some of the worth spent on those activities? For the most part, no! Maybe its the
fact that we constantly see all the stuff we've accumulated that makes us feel
guilty about the wealth spent. Should it? I think not, because of the pleasure
those things gave us when we purchased them. The best part of that is if this
hobby no longer returns the pleasure you have invested in it then you can actually
get some of your money back and move onto something else, e-bay! So dont feel
angry, guilty or bitter about what you've invested in this hobby because if it gave
you pleasure then you have invested wisely and are far ahead of the guy or gal
who blew all their money on booze or OTB with no possibility of geting any return
on their money!
