Subject:  We tend to be collectors as wellList thread.

I think it goes with the urge to build and paint (though not in all cases). I don't think I'm different from many other modellers in having a desire to accumulate a 'collection' of models. This also extends to reference works (I have a bookcase of armour books, and would have more if I had the space). So, one collects the kits, with a view to theoretically building them at some point (but often no real plan of when). I've got this under control to some extent, but I still have to fight the urge to own a kit of something I really like (like the Dragon Panzer IV E) even though there's a strong likelihood I won't ever build it.
