I'm flexible. I do believe the original challenge was to "try and finish a project before January 6th and place them on this site." Nothing their about whether or not it has already been started, but it does imply that it wasn't finished yet. As such I think it would be fair to allow anything that was not finished as of the 7th of December. Having said that, I will be giving weight to the degree of accomplishment when I cast my vote. A beautifully done model demonstrating advanced skills that already had a base coat on the 8th of December will not impress me as much as a model demonstrating more fundamental skills that was nothing but sprues on that same date.
As for me, I've made up my mind to start from scratch.
