I am a lifelong Tamiya fan. Having built two Dragon kits I would say that the Tamiya stuff is way easier to build and loosk great OTB without all of the extra PE stuff. Quicker, less painful and more often than not, better looking.

Dragon stuff is a more difficult assembly but sometimes with little gain in detail.

Don't get me wrong I like both manufacturers but if I'm only building 8 kits a year, I prefer ease of build and accuracy. Cost is important but not the deciding factor.
