| Subject: | GAZ-69 is a POSTWAR vehicle | |

Some questions came up from my recent review of the new ARMO kit. Whether it
saw service during WWII. Here is the scoop from Cookie Sewell:
"GAZ-69 was created as a field car (i.e. Jeep) to replace the wartime GAZ-67
and GAZ-67B series. It entered production in 1952 and continued there until
1972 in Russia, and until the early 1980s in Rumania as the M-461.
The GAZ-69 comes in two-door, four-door, and platform chassis models (the
latter for missile launchers and special purpose vehicles, like a starter
truck for airfields).
EVERYBODY used the darn thing."
I hope this answers everyone's questions. I will be revising my review with
this information soon. |
