55 years old, spent 13 years in the RAF, so I really hate aircraft! Been making models since Airfix days. Love Half-Tracks, as they are seriously stupid bits of engineering, neither fish nor fowl. Don't care if they are US or British, but a real leaning to 251's.

I live in Swindon, UK and hardly ever see any other modellers, even though there are plenty in the town. It's not really a group thing, is it? It's just you, the model, a pile of tools and books, Pink Floyd or Kate Bush on the stereo and the cat on your lap (taking the occassional swipe at you!) I've built masters, cast resin, written articles, etc, but all on my own. Had to learn everything by myself. I'm making some colour plates of AFV's on my PC, might post a few one day.

I generally go to a couple of shows a year here in the UK, EuroMilitaire and IPMS, but this year I couldn't be bothered. I generally see Ian there with his scratch building demos.
