I have ordered from them many times in the past and was very impressed
by their very fast and efficient mail order, however I never visited
their shop in Dover. I did that last Thursday.
The shop in near the harbour, on the main road to the Ferry Terminals.
It's easy to find it's a new building with a huge green sign with
HISTOREX AGENTS in gold lettering. It's open from 8.30 AM to 4.45PM
Monday to Friday.
They have a huge stock very neatly stored in their warehouse, you don't
actually walk in the aisles but ask for what you want and they bring it
to you. I had some pretty esoteric wants but they had all I asked for in
stock (those wants were of course from manufacturers whose lines they
carry). They have a good stock of New Connection, maybe the best stock
outside New Connection themselves. The whole range of Friulmodel too!
Just don't think you'll find plastic kits alonside the specialist lines
they carry (Verlinden, Aber, Elefant, On Track, etc...).
Excellent, friendly service (sadly this is not always the case in model
shops).
I'll make sure I visit them next time I come to Dover!
