The main problem with Tamiya's M3A2 is that it was never produced--Tamiya copied a late-war prototype. The differences between that and the M3A1 are fairly significant but easy to correct.

One feature on the kit that is suspect are the "ladders" on the side walls. For a long time most of us thought those were some sort of scaling ladders, but it now appears they were merely giant tie-downs to which gear could be secured. They were more often (or only?) seen on the M21 mortar version, so you can swap the side walls between these two kits (or fashion your own walls with plastic cards and a fistfull of rivets and tie-downs).
