Agreed (to a point)

Often the 120mm's are too big, but the Tamiyas are rather tall as well. I have quite a few of them, and some might be closer to 1/14 scale and their R/C trucks. I point to their 36303 Elite Infantryman. Even in his flex'd knee stance he is very tall.

I bought Jimmy Flintstone's 'Odball' figure, and scaled right he stands over 7'! Admittedly Donald Sutherland is tall, but he isn't THAT tall.

It all depends on the figures used. I have a selection, and could give you measurements if you like.

AVOID the Dragon 1609 figure. It is very poorly made, and requires a lot of gap-filling and filing.

A way to 'cheat' without mud-squishing is to trim a bit off all the mating surfaces, and slice the arms and re-join 'em. By taking off a few mm all over, you can shorten a figure. I'm going to have to try it with a few who are disasterously tall...
