For anyone living in the Mat-Su area there is a new Hobby Store in the Cottonwood Creek mall. I found it last weekend during the Job fair that was held in the mall(which was total bust by the way).

The selection is pretty good over all as it covers most of the major Hobby areas like Radio controled aircraft, eletric trains, plus a good selection of model master paints and plastic kits. They even had a 1/25 scale Panther D for $69.00.

While there I picked myself up a Italeria Elefant Kit ;)

Also I talked to the sales person behind the counter and she said that would be happy to special order just about anything you want.

P.S If anyone in Alaska is reading this I have an off topic question that is a very long shot...

Years ago I went into Anchorage to go to one of the few Hobby stores there. The one I usually go to is called "Hobby Craft".

The store puts people's work on display from time to time and there was one diorama that I will never forget.

It was of a german tank (Might have been a Panzer IV) that had fallen though a small wooden bridge nose first. The thing was it had to have had at least 25 to 30 figures in the scene climbing about the tank and inspecting the bridge.

It was wonderfuly done and now in retrospect I wouldn't be surprised if one my fellow track-linkers built it.
