For info on UK museums (armour related) go to

Then click on "Military Museums". Unfortunately I don't think any of these are
near your area (not 100% sure, I'm not familiar with UK geography yet).
If you have time to go south say for the week-end, Bovington is a must see,
Duxford also nice but not as comprehensive.
