Iain,

Interesting name, how is pronounced?

This is a difficult question! If it is a unique subject with reputable quality manufacturing the item and if it is a large piece $200 is my limit. If it is really unique and medium sized object (i.e the Type 89 Otsu I did) I would consider the $150 range. I've looked at some of the Italian tankettes out on the market but the small size and $85 tag has had me stop and think hard. I've yet to get one. I'd REALLY love the Accurate Armour RB crawler crane but it is rather small and $300+ so that is a wish list item until I win the lottery. So to break it down I would say the price would be compared to:

1. Size of the model

2. Unique subject manner

3. Reputable manufacture

Items I have looked at and shyed away from because of price:

Italian tankettes (can't recll vehicle and manufacture right now)

Italian AB-41 (the resin ones, thank you Italarei!)

RB Crawler crane by Accruate Armou

T-95 U.S. tank destroyer by Accurate Armor

THis should be interestintg to see what others think.
