Subject:  Does DML have in for Tristar???List thread.

Over the past few months I have had several conversations with fellow hobbists, armor geeks regarding the duplication of subjects these days. When this is nothing new, it would seem to me that DML really has it in for Tristar. Seems like everytime Tristar announces or releases a new kit it's followed by a DML announcement for the same kit. I give you the Panzer IV series, 20cm flak, and now the Panzer 1 with 20cm flak. Given that Tristar is a much smaller company I wonder how much longer they can hold out. Do I recall they were once going to do the Karl Morser? Didn't DML rush out that kit in order to stop that release. One has to wonder. I wonder if Tristar just kept it's kits a secret till the month of release would help them. I would like to see them stay around if not for no other reason than choice. I'm willing to bet right now that whatever new release Tristar announces it WILL be followed by a DML release of the same subject. Only time will tell I guess. Would it not be nice if they both just decided not to make the same kits. Same could go for AFV club too with all the Sd.Kfz series of kits. I am very pleased that Tamiya will really break the mold and offer something trully different with the Char B. I hope they sell thousands of them so it will give other manufactures notice that there is more to armor than endless Tigers and Panzer IVs. While they are very nice they have to know there are more subjects that can be produced.
