This is true. How could I think of it on my own?

Perhaps 20 years ago I was finishing a Panther tank for an IPMS show in Richmond VA the next day. We lived in a townhouse at the time and I worked on my kits in the kitchen. I had the compressor in a bathroom to keep the noise down and ran the line out to the airbrush where I sat on the floor to paint. I was in front of the refrigerator with the model on the floor. My wife opened the top freezer door. And it happened.
As accurately as any Stuka ever took out a tank, a carton of ice cream
slipped out, flew straight down , square onto my masterpiece. Parts flew everywhere. I forget now all that was broken, but it was certainly too far gone to do anything with in the time I had left before the show. With the passing of all this time I don't even remember if I did anything with it again.
True story.

Gerry
