Subject:  Blood and Gore in DioramasList thread.

With M. C. Leung's diorama "29th Lets go!!" (see: http://www.track-link.net/gallery/4183 ) being published recently I have received a few messages about it being "inappropriate". This is because of the blood and gore in the model.

Personally, I don't see the problem, it's a complete non-issue. After all we all like realistic films like "Saving Private Ryan" and "Band of Brothers" which are pretty gory. I don't understand the argument of hiding this stuff to "protect our kids" either, protecting them from what exactly?

The only valid reason I see for not displaying this kind of thing is to prevent civil litigation from an offended party. Which is no doubt the reason behind this kind of stuff being frowned upon at IPMS Conventions (I'm sure we've all heard the stories).

How do we feel about this issue/non-issue?

Paul.
