Subject:  Who even buys Royal Model stuff? (a bit long)List thread.

I'm not trying to like ridicule anyone or anything like that, but I'm just curious about that...I mean, Royal Model, out of Italy, makes some nice looking stuff, to an extent...it's not like Aber stuff though...

I have one set from Royal Model, their early Tiger fenders for the Tamiya kit and it really isn't as good as the Aber offering, which is cheaper...

I'm asking this question (Who even buys Royal Model stuff?) because they have soooo much stuff, it's real expensive and I've never seen it used....today, I went to PMMS to see what was new and I saw a Royal Model update and it showed three update sets for the Dragon Hummel...I went to the Royal Model page to see the price and my God was it expensive...to get just all three sets, it would cost 145 Euros, which about $180 US...(wow, our money kind of sucks lol...hopefully it can encourage Europeans to come here to the US and Canada though)...and that's without shipping! That's crazy! Even if I shop around, like on Ebay, which there is little or no Royal Model stuff, I seriously doubt that I can get all three of those sets for less than $150 US....

I have an Italeri PzJgr I (well, it's the Maquette resin and white metal offering, but I got pretty cheap) and I got all the stuff that I could get for it...I'm talking the Aber fenders, the Aber upper hull, the Aber gun sheild, the Jordo Rubio barrel and FM tracks (cheap from ebay...got lucky lol) and I know that even with all that, I did not even come close to spending that much! lol (well, I know a little over $100 US) I know the vehicles are different, but it's pretty much the same deal (three p/e sets)...and I got the AM tracks and an AM barrel! lol

So, are their sets like Ferraris? (a real expensive Italian product that really isn't that great?)

Do Europeans mainly buy it? Because that is the only way in which I can perceive that they are capable of staying in business, unless, it's owned by like an exocentric billionaire lol
