Subject:  Re: Who even buys Royal Model stuff? (a bit long)List thread.

I was mainly refering to their vehicle detail sets (their p/e sets overall) and the prices, on top of the fact that I can't recall seeing a dio with any their products ever used (unless somehow, their use was omitted(?))...and true too, I have seen how much more models cost in the UK, but I don't live there, so I don't care! lol...I'm talking about this part of the world...I mean, it's all about supply and demand and there are differences between the UK market and the US/Canadian market...

Ouch lol...I won't even go into what I was implying, as I've seen my fair share of Ferraris (or Lambos) that have been broken down on the side of the highway here...

I was stuck one day with an associate of my boss, well actually, I shouldn't really say stuck, it was more like hanging out together to get to know eachother better, and that instance was the best time for us both, and he has a Ferrari, an '04 360 Modena Spider (that's a slick car), and I went with him to one of the Ferrari dealerships here because he had to get a tune up for it...It was so lame, ok, the main floor model, one that's supposed to be so cool, and so new and blah, blah, blah, well, you couldn't close the doors on it because some parts were already broken and it was brand new! When I asked a sales guy about it, all he said was "that's how we got it"...should I even talk about the puddle of oil on the floor lol (I dunno, rough trip over here from Italy? lol)....Give me a BMW, or a Benz (like my dads SL) any day over those...their faster, at least the SL 55 is, more mechanical reliable, and a bit nicer on one's pocket book...Ferraris are cool, and they got some pick up, I'll admit that and I do like the classic Ferraris, but I don't trust the mechanics (plus they can really sound annoying...like wind up toys) I know, you don't use them like Hondas or something, but still... and the mechanics part was what I meant with the analogy (along with the price lol)...really, in either case, their just 'pretty' toys when you really look at it...
