I too find some of Dragon's philosophies a little annoying and in the case of the recoiling gun just plain dumb. I built the Trumpeter KV-1 which went together extremely well, but there were times when I thought they had deliberately molded things requiring several parts to be put together to make one single part that were done that way solely to be able to increase the parts count so it would look better on the box top.
