That wouldn’t work as an idea (who put this one out there? Sounds like a derogatory remark of a flamer :-)) because the parts used were not custom built/cast for each tank. Pre-fabrication at multiple sites was the hallmark of late-war industrial Germany (unlikely that any other nation could have gone on for as long as the Nazi war machine did under the contain and systematic aerial bombardment we gave them without it) and the standardization of all parts was required to get that to work.
Having said that there were areas that were considered inconsequential and that led to variation (0.14mm in 1/35 via Tiger1.com) from one tank to the other.

You may not have meant your post to be interpreted as I did Sticky, but I thought it could help and I know your work shows your high standards so I’m not suggesting anything about you yourself :-).
