Thanks, Hans. I had just heard horror story after horror story of tracks snapping repeatedly when you try to put them on - it sounds like you managed to make them work. I appreciate the tip on the axel for the drive sprockets. I had heard this mentioned before, but I'm sure that I would have forgotten if you hadn't mentioned it to me.

Anyway, you produced a fine looking build there. As soon as I can find some photos from Guam, I'll give mine a go. I was a grunt in the Third Marines, so I really want to do a Guam LVT (I'm pretty darn sure that the LVT(A)-1 was used at Guam). However, despite having several of the standard references, I've really had no luck at all in locating photos of LVTs at Guam (beside the question of marking, I really don't know what MG mounts the LVT(A)-1s used at Guam - the early Sharif style or the later pintle).

By the way, having been a Marine I'm compelled to comment that it's very unfortunate that you chose to mark your LVT as an Army vehicle. :-)
