Over the last couple of years I've moved from German to Soviet, now to an interest in modern subjects; so for me the interest in WW2 German has waned (although Tristar's Pz.38t looks good!) so maybe.

I have to believe that multiple German subject releases are cannibalizing each other's sales... although total sales of Tiger I & Pz.IV have to be higher! This may also explain why "modern" WW2 axis kits are more visible is that the recent high sales of these kits are now bearing fruit in the shape of finished products, whereas, older kits have gone through the new release boom and now are only trickling out of the closets... just wait, the Char building wave should be arriving shortly.

Of course the Hobby itself is probably growing. There is obviously a growing list of kit makers so the pie has to be growing commensurately larger by drawing new modelers into the hobby as well has luring away Axis modelers.

Either way I am happy for the greater selection... even if my available time (and closet space) is not growing as quickly!
