Mike,
Well, I like the Mercedes 3000 because of the look of the cab. However the wheels and dash are all wrong. SMA makes a set that corrects these things. If you want easy without a lot of correcting the Italaerei Opel Blitz is the best bet. There are photo-etch sets to spruce it up and sveral companies make the 8 spoked wheels but the kit OOTB isn't too bad considereing its age. I personally like the Ford 3000s because of that period of body styling. But alas you will have to find one of the resin kits, or resin conversions or go the idioctic road I took and use the Schmidt vac-u-form conversion.
