Hi paul, i didn`t really understantd your message, but anyway, i lied, the jeep actually has a .3 Browning on a pedestal mount in the back on it- not that that`ll make a difference, The pic i refer to is on page 27 of the Book Jeeps go to war, theres 2 GI`s cooking food and i`m not saying that they were special force, but they are preety heavily packed up, rolls, canteens and so on, and there jeep appears to be a slat grille, so it is probably early in the afrika campaign. Well i hope this helps and if i can be of any more use, go ahead. you can add my text to the description, but maybe take out the bit about the colour, cause i`m not 100% sure, as it is a black and white Photo.
