You could flip that arguement on it's head and, if you were so inclined, and interpret racism in world cultural that the genocide of the Jews is very well recorded and memorialised compared to other horrific events in Asia and Africa?
Should you depict lynching in the American South or a Bosnian genocide scene? If you want to yes. Freedom of expression means you can depict anything you like, but everybody else is free to say what they feel about your work.
