In my case:
1. ebay became an important source for models i could not get because they are too rare or too expensive.
2. reference: so many internetsites are providing reference material for free, one had to spend a fortune in buying books to get all this info. And all the knowledge in the forums that helps all of us making our next model even better.
3. displaying my model in the internet lets me get feedback from all over the world. who would see our models if they were not in the net. some friends, maybe. our girls, who mostly do not share the hobby.
So, what would we do without the magic net.
