In Calgary, there is a couple of places. Uncle Bill's is one of the
best. It's in an old house converted into a store. Filled floor to
ceiling. PMS Hobbies isn't bad either. A couple of others are Pheonix
and Chinook.
In Edmonton (where I am) there's Kites and Other Delights and Comex in
West Edmonton Mall, Universal Hobbies downtown across the street from
city hall, Hobby Wholesalers and Hobby Stop (west end location has more
kits). There is an online shop in Edmonton, the Old Soldier. Check out
the website (http://www.oldsoldier.com/) and see if he has anything you
like. You could arrange to pick it up.
Not sure about museums. The armoured group in Calgary had one, but I
haven't been down there in years (before they moved to Edmonton), so I
don't know if it's still there. I'm not sure if the base here is
generally open to the public, but you could always call and ask.
Email me direct if you want more info or the like.
Cheers,
Bob |
