Subject:  it all comes down to dollars, bahts and pesosList thread.

I’ve been looking into the subject myself. The conclusion is that if you live in areas of the world where the dollar is strong, then it could actually be a lucrative business selling pre-made models on Ebay to buyers from richer countries. Let’s say you live in a country where a $100.00 is a weeks wage. Well then an initial investment of $20-$30.00 for a kit isn’t so bad if you can actually sell the model for $100.00-$200.00 U.S. As the old saying goes, ‘the only problem is that you have to live there.’ Perhaps it’s not worth moving to Thailand, Bali or Mexico to do what you love… then again that doesn’t sound so bad. if you live there already and have some talent... then I think it's a great way of making a living.

P.S. I just sold my first model, a Verlinden figure to the guy who also bought that $1026.99 Sherman that sold on Ebay. the figure sold for about a third of what I make an hour in my day job. The figure took probably a week just to paint... but I am still flattered.
