Back to the basic question. I decided to set the starting bid at whatever I had into the kit including any aftermarket stuff. Then if it sells I break even. If it sells for more, than I can buy a better grade kit to replace it. If you try to factor in the cost of time spent it would not be worth it. But then again, I am in the hobby to build and paint. I have no place to display the finished models, so if I dont get reimbused for the labor it really doesnt matter, I am still going to keep building anyway.

I have to admit though that my conscience does bother me a bit. If enough mediocre builders like me flood the market, it may tend to drive down the profits for those more deserving. After all, how many people can there be out there that want to buy built models. For me, it would be like buying a car just to watch my neighbor drive up and down the road in it. It doesnt make sense to me, but I am glad they are out there.
