Sorry Paul, I'm already building it. I didn't take sprue shots because I used Roy's pictures with his review on my site. I thought I'd shoot some photos during the construction process.

Roy: i tried sharpening up your photos and adjusted the color and that helped somewhat. But when you shoot the sprues at an angle, you will get that fall off in sharpness at the "front" and "rear" of the subject (the photog term is "depth of field"). If you can adjust your camera settings manually and adjust the aperture to the highest number possible you will increase your depth of field and overall sharpness front to back. (That works for 35mm SLR; I have yet to explore it to any great extent with my digital camera.)

BTW, the level of detail on the M40 is very impressive. It's somewhat of a tricky build primarily because of AFV Club's visually dense instructions--the "exploded" drawings are not exploded enough so you have pieces superimposed over component drawings and things can easily be overlooked. (It's like the old "Highlights" magazine where you try to find the picture of the bunny in the bark of the tree and the Pilgrim's hat in the wishing well....) There are a lot of small and very thin parts. But it builds up well so far, particularly the suspension.

Cheers,

Tim
