If you're in the Fairfax/Arlington area there are really only two options -
1. Grandad's Hobbyshop - Full line dealer with lots of Armour, detail sets,
tons of finishing supplies. They also have a very complete boat, plane and
train sections, though I have not really looked around there very
much....Occasional bargains can be found.
The shop is just off I-495 at the Braddock Rd exit.

2. Piper Hobby - Another nice shop. Lots of kits not as much on the detail
sets. Very nice selection of Verlinden, Jaguar and Warriors figures. This
shop is in Chantilly on US 50.
13892 Metrotech Dr
Chantilly, VA 20151

Maps to both shops are very easy to find your favorite MapQuest clone.
I frequent both of these shops and both are worthy of a visit.
Thanks,
Tim
