And not only are they the importer of Tamiya kits, but also Italeri and Revell Germany. So, those kits tend to be pricey as well. But, not as out to lunch as Tamiya static kits.

In one local shop courageously priced the Tamiya 1/35 JGSDF Recon Motocrosser at $24. Other store wanted $19. This is a 800Yen = $7 kit!! I ordered four from Japan in that order with $180 of savings.

Tamiya America isn't much better these days. Check out the Famo SRP

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=35239

Better than Canada, but still about Yen x 2.1 = US SRP. So, Tamiya America pricing isn't much better than in Canada.

Tamiya R/C stuff is a different story, almost on par with the Japan price. Go figure.

I gave up and mail order Tamiya kits.

Ken
